Young Guns Week 6

Questions, comments, and trash-talk welcome (as long as you can back it up)
So, show of hands...who saw the Giants starting off 0-6? And how about
those shootouts last week? Don't worry, Week 6 promises some more great
games, highlighted by what should be a nail-biter between the Broncos
and Jags...
Before I lay out my Young Guns Week 6, let's look at my biggest blunder, as well as best pick from Week 5.
The Epic Fail:
I suggested Fantasy owners bench T.Y. Hilton against the elite defense
of the Seahawks. Good call, right? He actually had monstrous yardage and 2
TDs. Womp...
Good Call:
As much as I want to give it to my
personal favorite performance from Young Gun Nick Foles (whom I've been preaching about more than a year) coming in cold and throwing 2 TDs in a winning
effort, this article is written for THE PEOPLE! Ergo, I must give the
good call of the week to the one that rewarded people for trusting my
Fantasy advice. That would be Alshon Jeffery. 218 yards and a TD. This
is just the tip of the iceberg for this kid. Make him a regular starter
barring any glaring mismatches for the week.
My Look ahead to Week 6
3 STARS
(*) T.Y. Hilton- Unlike last week, he's an obvious starter in this
game. Luck will pick the Chargers apart, and Hilton will have at least
another TD as he plays mismatched all game.
(*) JOSH GORDON- This
guy has been nothing but hot since returning from his suspension, and
the Lions' secondary won't be the one to slow him down.
(*) DOUG MARTIN- I believe he will finally reward faithful Fantasy owners this week against a terrible Eagles' defense.
Keep An Eye On:
ANDREW LUCK- I am officially taking him out of my Young Guns program.
In my opinion, he is ELITE. Yes, elite. That means top 5. He has no
weaknesses and executes at an elite level.
NICK FOLES- Everyone knows I love this kid. If he gets the nod, he'll be solid.
RUSSELL WILSON- My favorite player in the NFL. Look for him to have a
field day against the Titans' defense. Run wild, run dange-RUSS!
JUSTIN BLACKMON- He's on the Jags, who are playing the Broncos. That
means playing behind all game (kinda like every game for them),
translating into plenty of airing it out. This guy is by far their best
weapon. Fantasy owners can expect a strong outing for Blackmon in the
Jags' quest for a perfect 0-16 season.
JULIUS THOMAS- How many
TDs does this guy have? Don't expect that to end with Peyton on a
historic tear and Denver playing...right, one of the worst teams in
history.
DEMARYIUS THOMAS- See directly above.
TRAVIS
BENJAMIN- Not many more explosive guys than Benjamin this year, with
some absolutely insane kickoff returns. He's also playing against the
Lions' defense this week, which always helps.
TORREY SMITH- He's a star, and he's playing against a very questionable Packers' secondary.
RANDALL COBB- Just because I love him. Mr. Reliable, every week.
DeANDRE HOPKINS- This kid is a future superstar, and he should have
plenty of chances against the Rams secondary. If you've watched any film
on Hopkins, he can either out-jump you or straight up take it away from
you in the air.
LUKE KUECHLY- Yes, a defensive Young Gun. He's going to wreak havoc against the Vikings.
GENO SMITH- I wasn't a believer at the start of the season. He still
isn't anything surprising, but he's been solid. The Steelers are
reeling, but don't have the worst defense in the world. Coinflip?
TERRANCE WILLIAMS- This guy is emerging as a legit threat, and with
Romo coming off a career game, he could do some damage against a
pathetic Redskins defense.
Leonard Hankerson- Speaking of those
pathetic Redskins, they are playing Dallas, who also has a terrible
defense. Expect this guy to have some yards as RG3 airs it out playing
behind all game.
RG3- See directly above.
