Congrats to Dylan, who is getting a surprising number of hits on his radio debut! With that in mind, I'll throw in my 2 cents for this week. Sports fans, I know I'll be ripped for a few of these picks. Enjoy ;)
BILLS/DOLPHINS- Yes, I picked Buffalo last night, so yay, but I thought they would win by more points. Epic failure in the red zone - your offensive coordinator should be fired.
WASHINGTON/PHILLY- this is my "wash" pick for the week. both teams are struggling, but it should be a fun one! RG3 speaks for himself, so all eyes will be on rookie Nick Foles, who (everyone can disagree with me here) is BETTER than vick. he'll have a shot at the redskins horrible secondary, but is also behind a terrible O-Line..sack central is open for business
GB/DETROIT- Haha...Packers by only 3.5? Easy money there. No, I don't care that detroit is home. Even though the Pack is injured, I've preached Cobb for over a year and he finally looks like a legit #1 receiver, taking advantage of the opportunity. Rodgers is clicking and will discount double-check the lions secondary all...day...long.
ATLANTA/ARIZONA- The Falcons are coming off their first loss, which isn't a terrible thing for their focus. Margin of victory depends on a healthy Julio Jones.
TAMPA/CAROLINA- Real close one here. Doug martin is hot...so hot right now ;) Cam Newton was on the wrong end of a highlight that broncos fans will watch for years. That said, his potential for a huge game is always there. I'll take carolina, but i don't like it.
DALLAS/CLEVELAND- This game has trap written all over it. The browns are bad, but their RCs are better than many think. Demarco Murray is still out, Dez Bryant is a domestic mess, and tony romo is still their QB...haha oh tony romo...I'll still take Dallas, though.
ST. LOUIS/JETS- Any team that starts Mark Sanchez over Tim Tebow deserves to have a winless season. No, I don't say that just because of my man-crush on Tebow...Sanchez flat out sucks. The Rams are underachievers with solid RCs, a very good QB and tons of upset potential against elite teams, so I think they'll take the Jets...unless Sanchez dies and Tebow takes over.
NEW ENGLAND/INDY- Andrew Luck is good. Really good. But he's not Tom Brady, and he doesn't have Welker, Gronkowski, or Ridley. Pats win.
HOUSTON/JACKSONVILLE- Attention fans: game has been cancelled due to lack of interest...wait, what? I need a serious analysis? That was it. Ok, fine. Gabbert runs like a girl in the pocket, Blackmon is a lazy first round bust, and the Texans are, well, the NFL's best team. For now.
CINCY/KANSAS CITY- Dalton and A.J. are finally connecting like they should, and what's more is they are actually getting some help around them. Kansas City saved last Monday's game from being a complete flop, but they are still the worst team in the NFL. Bengals win easily.
NEW ORLEANS/OAKLAND- Many people will disagree with me, but I think this game will be a blowout. I see last game as the turning point in the Saints' season, and while they may not make the playoffs THIS YEAR, they will annihilate the Raiders this week. If Flacco can put up 55 points against you, Drew Brees can do the same, even if he is busy taking Nyquil and singing with One Direction. This game is one direction. Saints win big.
DENVER/SAN DIEGO- My beloved broncos will win, but there is just something about the history between these 2 that will keep me from betting a 7.5 line. We remember what Manning did against them in their last matchup. Hopefully they show up for the first half and Demaryius can actually hold onto the ball after making his highlight reel catches.
BALTIMORE/PITTSBURGH- A 3.5 line? Are you serious? ravens win, i'm just figuring out how much I should bet. they put up 55 points last week (I know it was Oakland), but Pittsburgh needed overtime to beat....the Chiefs??? hang on...yep the Chiefs. Half of my friends could have done better than Byron Leftwich. I thought I heard chants for David Kern at some point in the game. Hopefully my boy Torrey Smith puts up some mad points to make this game fun to watch.
SAN FRANCISCO/BEARS- I love Da 'Bears, but I don't love their "QB"...he makes the 49ers backup look good, plus Kaepernick can run. Great defenses squaring up for this one, and with both starters out, I think the 49ers win. The combo of an injured Cutler and the continued injury to Alshon Jeffery, who is IMO one of the most underrated WRs in the entire NFL, seems like an awful lot to overcome, especially against an elite team.
