Tex's (Tardy) Week 15 Picks

OK, so I’m writing this about 1/2 way into the Sunday early afternoon games, so no beating around the bush. Here we... Wait, no. I refuse to use that slogan because that beer sucks. Let’s do this thing!

Thursday Night Game

Chargers @ Broncos: BRONCOS – I knew the Broncos would probably lose another game that was winnable; I just didn’t figure it would happen in Denver.

Sunday Early Afternoon Games

Redskins @ Falcons: FALCONS – Falcons suck, but the explosion in the Redskins locker room will probably lead to the last 3 games as losses.

49ers @ Buccaneers: 49ERS – I know the West Coast early game travel is always a bad omen, but the 9ers are riding high this week. They aren’t going to be brought down by the lowly Bucs.

Seahawks @ Giants: SEAHAWKS – I was thinking about washing this game out because it feels like a trap game, but the Giants are just so so bad, I can’t think that the Giants can actually do something.

Da Bears @ Browns: DA BEARS – They looked great last week against my Cowboys, but the Browns actually have a better defense. I don’t trust Da Bears though, so I’ll WASH this out.

Texans @ Colts: COLTS – I’m tired of believing in the Texans. It’s nearly as exhausting as trying to watch the Cowboys and find the improvement on either offense or defense with different play callers this year.

Bills @ Jaguars: BILLS – Nothing riding on this matchup but pride. Not much else to say, either.

Patriots @ Dolphins: DOLPHINS – The Patriots struggled without Gronk most of the year. Now, they’re without him until next year. Patriots will win their division, but look for them to be 1-and-done.

Eagles @ Vikings: EAGLES – This NFC East thing will come down to Week 17’s matchup. Eagles are playing well, so it makes me nervous. Watch for a tune-up match this week sans Peterson and Gerhart.

Late Afternoon Games

Jets @ Panthers: PANTHERS – I know the Panthers lost BIG last week, and that felt SOOOOOO good, but they will take care of business against this horrible Jets team. *sigh* Saying “horrible Jets team” again feels SOOOOOO good.

Chiefs @ Raiders: CHIEFS – The Chiefs have a chance to keep the AFC West within reach with that Broncos debacle earlier this week. If the Chiefs win out and the Broncos drop one more game, the Chiefs will sneak that division right back in their hands. Just sayin...

Cardinals @ Titans: TITANS – I don’t know why I’m picking the Titans over the Cardinals. I’ve liked the Cardinals nearly all year, but this just feels like a gut feeling to  pick the home team.

Saints @ Rams: SAINTS – I am LOCKing this game in. I figure since Dylan is going to put his money where his mouth is, I’m going to do the same with my pick at the #1 slot. The Saints have had some shake-your-head games, but they sure do bounce back really well afterwards.

Packers @ Cowboys: COWBOYS – The Packers are just horrible without Rodgers. This game would be nearly a lock for the Packers with Rodgers playing, but I just don’t like this Packers team without him. The Cowboys have also been outstanding at home this year. Their only loss is against the super-powered Broncos offense.

Sunday Night Game

Bengals @ Steelers: BENGALS – I don’t like this pick, but the Steelers are just SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad this year, I have to believe in the Bengals.

Monday Night Game

Ravens @ Lions: RAVENS – THIS game is my UPSET pick, and I feel ultra-confident in it. I don’t care about the line, I care that the Lions are doing their best to keep the other teams in their division in the race by choking nearly all of their games in the 2nd half of the season. The Ravens have come back to relevance as of late, and I think they show everyone who they will be this playoff season.
