We all knew last week was going to be ugly. And it was. I went 5-9 in our pick league. You'd think I've never watched an NFL game in my life. Luckily, we have a better week coming up with a lot of key divisional games and some top teams ready to prove that they're still the real deal.
YOUNG GUNS 3 STARS OF THE WEEK
(*) CASE KEENUM- He has a red hot Andre Johnson and a mismatched DeAndre Hopkins ready to torch the Raiders secondary. Forget simply top 3 Young Guns, he is an absolute Fantasy monster this week.
(*) NICK FOLES- There's really nothing left for me to say. I loved the kid from Day 1, he's red hot, and the only thing standing in the way of a third straight win is the Redskins secondary.
(*) DeANDRE HOPKINS- See above. "Top" Raiders coverage going to Andre Johnson leaves DeAndre mismatched and ready for damaging yardage and at least a TD.
NOTABLES
RILEY COOPER- Now that people know about Foles, it's time to pay attention to who he's been throwing to. Fantasy mismatch against the Redskins D.
EDDIE LACY- A second straight week I can't star this kid. He should have a strong game against the Giants, but a lack of offensive options limits his potential and puts more focus on stopping the run.
RG3 / ALFRED MORRIS- Eagles defense.
Le'Veon Bell- Pitt is playing better football he should have a decent game against the Lions D.
GIO BERNARD- My favorite RB rookie continues to impress.
RUSSELL WILSON / GOLDEN TATE- Speaking of not being able to star people, these 2 will have another big game. I just liked the Keenum/Hopkins Young Gun tandem a little better against the Raiders.
T.Y. HILTON / COBY FLEENER- What's going on with Indy? Don't be fooled...this team is the real deal, and they'll be back against the Titans. Expect both of these guys to have games in a big win.
MICHAEL FLOYD- The Jags won a football game, but they are still a horrible team and Floyd should get plenty of chances in this one.
MIKE GLENNON- He's got a good chance to make it two straight against the struggling Dirty Birds.
KEENAN ALLEN- Miami looked horrible last game, thanks for another gross MNF game. Rivers is having a career year and Allen has been a top beneficiary. Expect that to continue against the sinking Dolphins.
TO YOUR BENCH:
I can't believe I'm saying this...one of my favorites, and on my team...
DEMARYIUS THOMAS- This guy is one of the best in the world coming off a monster game. KC has the top defense, and, although I see a Bronco victory, they will force Denver's points to come from somebody else, more likely Decker or Thomas.
STEVAN RIDLEY- He will do nothing against the Panthers run defense.
CECIL SHORTS III- Jags are coming off the only win they'll get this year and will lose to the Cards strong defense, which should shut down this talented Young Gun.
KENNY STILLS- This kid is a lot of fun to watch, but not against the 49ers defense.
MARK INGRAM (IF you were actually planning on playing him) - I don't buy into last game. They were up by 300 points and were going to run the ball more anyways. This game will be far from a blowout and the 49er defense will shut him down.
AARON DOBSON- Here's a guy I've liked all year through his ups and downs. There's no question he's getting better every game, but you could argue that Carolina has the hottest defense in the league.
