Wow, hard to believe it's already the midseason mark in the NFL! Here are my picks for this week
Bengals at Dolphins: Bengals. Seriously, Dalton . . . a safety?
Chiefs
at Bills: Chiefs. Chiefs have been having some narrow wins recently,
so I expect their undefeated streak to end soon . . . but the Bills are
way too inconsistent to pull this one out.
Falcons at
Panthers: Falcons. I really feel like this is a trap game for Carolina
(IT'S A TRAP!!!!). The Falcons have the weapons to put up points, and
if they do I don't think Carolina will win a shootout.
Vikings
at Cowboys: Cowboys. I would laugh so hard if the Cowboys lost this
one, because it really seriously means that the Giants are back in the
NFC East division title hunt. What a poor excuse for a division . . .
Saints
at Jets: Saints. Looking at the Jets winning pattern this season
they're actually slated to win this week (wins on the odd weeks, losses
on the even weeks), but I think that trend breaks here as the Saints are
for real and are a very formidable foe.
Titans at Rams:
Titans. I was surprised at how close the Rams came to beating the
Seahawks last week. So I think this game will be close, but I'm
predicting the Titans win in the end.
WASH Chargers at
Redskins: Chargers. I really hate picking this game, cause I could see
either team winning it. But I think the Chargers will be able to take
advantage of the Redskins' horrible defense and come out with the W.
Eagles
at Raiders: Raiders. This is a tough one to pick, especially since
the Raiders have been so inconsistent. However, the Eagles offense
looks stagnent (no offensive TDs in the past 2 games), and their defense
is awful, so I'm looking for Pryor to have a big game (starting him in
one of my fantasy leagues . . . ) and lead the Raiders to victory.
LOCK
Bucs at Seahawks: Seahawks. I just don't see Seattle losing this one.
However, they did struggle against the Rams, so upset potential may be
present.
UPSET Ravens at Browns: Browns. Ugh. That's
all I can really say about this game. I have to go with the Browns,
especially after their performance against the undefeated Chiefs last
week.
Steelers at Patriots: Patriots. The Patriots are a
difficult team to understand this year. One week, they upset the
dominant Saints. The next week, they lose to the Jets. Their play has
been so sporadic I don't know what to think. Picking them seems to be
the right choice here, but I have this nagging feeling that the Steelers
might pull off the upset . . .
Colts at Texans: Colts.
The Texans showed signs of improvement by putting up a good fight
against the Chiefs. Probably helped that they didn't throw a pick 6 in
the game. The Colts are playing really good football, though, so I
think the Colts will be able to easily handle the Texans
Bears
at Packers: Packers. Bears are in their typical slump. The Packers,
meanwhile, are definitely hitting their stride and what makes it even
more telling is that they are doing it without Randall Cobb and James
Jones. Rodgers is playing brilliantly.
