Young Guns Week 7

As always, fantasy questions, comments, and trash-talk welcome as long as you can back it up!
A Quick Reminder - I love helping you guys with your Fantasy Football questions. But please remember that if I don't have someone obvious in my article, it's because I focus on the Young Guns. Yes, Jay Cutler is a must play this coming week against the Redskins defense, but he was a rookie back in 2006. Instead, I'll concentrate on his 2nd year star receiver Alshon Jeffery. That said, feel free to ask any questions you do have about your Fantasy team here on the Blog or Twitter.
Week 6 was another crazy one for the NFL. It was a great one for some new Young Guns, but first the Week 6 Blunder and Good Call.
Blunder: Doug Martin
I thought Martin might break out against a terrible Eagles defense but that wasn't the case. His QB however, makes this Week's Young Guns.
Good Call: Nick Foles
Time to take credit for someone I took a lot of criticism for supporting since he was drafted. Throws for almost 300 yards, 3 TDs and a rushing TD. That is a great day for any NFL QB. He's legit and he's better than Vick. He is the Eagles future and if they're smart, they'll continue to start him.

Young Guns 3 Stars Week 7
(*) ALSHON JEFFERY- Our entire staff on the blog loved this kid from Day 1, and now the cat is out of the bag. This kid is a legit #1 receiver on a lot of teams. Look for a BIG week with at least a TD against the Redskins defense.
(*) NICK FOLES- OK enough patting myself on the back about the Nick Foles deal. Last week he lit up a winless Bucs team. But don't take anything away from him. 4 TDs and almost 300 yards is solid for any QB, against any team in the NFL. He's up against Dallas, which means the young QB is going to get a lot of Fantasy Points, win or lose.
(*) KEENAN ALLEN- You guys called for it, and I agree 100%. This kid is legit. He's putting up big stats as a rookie on a team that lacks a lot of offensive firepower. This week, he's up against the Jags, which should mean another TD and some monster yardage.

Solid Young Guns To Your Fantasy Bench
DeANDRE HOPKINS- This guy is pure magic, but this week he's up against the hottest defense in the NFL.
Le'VEON BELL- Shouldn't do too much on a struggling offense against an above average run defense

Demoted to NON-Young Guns (Based on massive hype and lack of production, or lack of PT due to position depth)
DAVID WILSON (out 3 weeks)
TAVON AUSTIN
AARON DOBSON
MONTEE BALL
CHRISTINE MICHAEL

Keep An Eye On
DOUG MARTIN- The muscle hamster has to break out sometime, right? He's just too talented to continue at this pace, and he's playing the Falcons this week.
TERRANCE WILLIAMS- Dallas has a solid rookie in Williams, who will go up against the weak defense of the Eagles.
STEVAN RIDLEY- The Jets don't have a bad defense, but I liked this kid from Day 1 and I think he's just getting warmed up.
GIOVANI BERNARD / TYLER EIFERT- This duo is solid. Immediate rookie contributors, I expect them both to have a solid game against Detroit.
JOSEPH FAURIA- Speaking of Detroit, this guy had 3 TDs last week. He's up up against a solid defense, but with Calvin getting closer to 100% and Reggie running wild, that opens up a lot of room for Fauria to make plays. I pray he has a couple more TDs this week if for no other reason than to watch him dance.
MIKE GLENNON- He's been much more effective than Josh Freeman. That doesn't say a lot, but Glennon has done very well as a rookie and has a shot to upset an injured, overrated Falcons team.
EDDIE LACY/JOHNATHAN FRANKLIN- Not that I'm in love with Lacy...I'm actually a bigger fan of Franklin. Either way, half of their offense is dead and they'll be forced to run the ball more than usual this week.
T.Y. HILTON- This guy is too good not to bounce back. Denver gives up a lot of points and Luck should be able to find Hilton after being shut down by the Chargers in Week 6.
RUEBEN RANDLE- He's been a bright spot in the ugly nightmare that is the New York Giants. They have a very beatable opponent this week in the Vi-Queens.
RYAN TANNEHILL- The Dolphins need to get back on track, and Tannehill is due for a big, big game.
LAMAR MILLER- Rumors flew about this kid in the preseason. He hasn't shown me that much, honestly. He still has lot of potential, but so do a lot of people. Week 7 will say a lot about the rest of his year.
KENBRELL THOMPKINS- He has been solid for Brady, coming down with the miracle last-second TD to crush Saints fans last week. He's gaining more and more confidence in himself, as well as trust from his QB and coaches.
JUSTIN BLACKMON- The Chargers just came off a big win against the Colts, shutting down Luck and Hilton. That said, the Chargers are "That Team" in the NFL, and you never know which team will show up. However, Blackmon has been red hot since his return from suspension. Depending on which one of those Chargers teams shows up, Blackmon could have another big game.
KENDALL HUNTER- He's been solid when called upon, and up against the Titans defense, he could do some damage if given the chance.
TORREY SMITH- He's been solid all year and the Ravens are up against the Steelers this week.
JOSH GORDON- This game against an injured Packers team is going to be closer than a lot of people think, and Josh Gordon will be a big reason why.
