Week 13 Picks

Here we go with the picks....

UPSET:  Saints at Falcons:  SAINTS.  Well, wasn't this a horrible start to the week.  Not only did I have to watch the overrated Falcons win, but I also missed my upset before the week even got started.  Ugh....

Jaguars at Bills:  BILLS.  I'd like to take the Jags to win two games in a row for the first time since 2009, but I can't.  I think that after two solid weeks in  row, they'll come out flat in a cold road game in Buffalo.  The Bills are underrated, and the Jags will be exposed by them.  I was thinking of driving to Buffalo to go to this game, but I just have this feeling that it will be a depressing loss, so I decided against it.

Seahawks at Bears:  BEARS.  The Bears will continue to dominate now that they have Cutler back against the Seahawks, who are horrid on the road.

Colts at Lions:  LIONS.  A lot of people have the Colts taking the upset here, but I just don't see it happening.

Vikings at Packers:  PACKERS.  They'll rebound here after that disappointing loss to the Giants.

Panthers at Chiefs:  PANTHERS.  The Chiefs may keep it close, but the Panthers are a far better team and should be able to take this one on the road.

LOCK:  Patriots at Dolphins:  PATRIOTS.  I don't see Tom Brady dropping a game that would clinch the AFC East to the lowly Dolphins.  This is my lock of the week.

Cardinals at Jets:  JETS.  I thought of using my wash here, but I figure that everyone else will, and I really think the Jets can win this one at home against a Cardinals team that has lost 7 straight.  Why not make it 8?

49ers at Rams:  49ERS.  They're still mad about that tie, and they'll take it out on Jeff Fisher's squad.

Texans at Titans:  TEXANS.  I'm surprised that the line is only -6.5.  The Texans should take this by at least two touchdowns.  Bad defense or not, they are far better than the Titans.

Bucs at Broncos:  BRONCOS.  Denver is due to lose a game, and this could be the one, but I think Manning will make enough plays against the Bucs' shoddy secondary to take the day.

Steelers at Ravens:  RAVENS.  If Ben was playing, I'd be tempted to take the upset here (I think the Steelers are better than the Ravens this year at full strength), but his loss will be too much for them to overcome in Baltimore.

WASH:  Browns at Raiders:  BROWNS.  Matching up these two teams on a neutral field, I give the edge to the Browns by a considerable margin.  However, fly the Browns out to the west coast to play in front of the Raiders' crazy fans, and it changes the equation enough for me to make it my wash.

Bengals at Chargers:  BENGALS.  They should have no problem taking this one....that doesn't mean that they won't have any problem, though.

Eagles at Cowboys:  COWBOYS.  This would be my lock if it wasn't for the weird stuff that sometimes happens between NFC East teams (ok, weird stuff that happens A LOT of times between NFC East teams....)

Giants at Redskins:  GIANTS.  I love NFC East matchups, and the NFL gives us two on Sunday and Monday night this week.  I like this one far better because the Eagles are so hard to watch.  While the Giants could randomly forget how to play football as they often do against the Redskins (their last three games against them, in fact), I think they'll take this one on MNF.

Last week: 9-7
Season record: 105-71-1
Points: 34
