Dylan's Week 8 Picks

WEEK 8 PICKS
By Dylan Ehle (@PaleEhle on Twitter)

Alright, I'm back from the anniversary vacation (which was awesome!) and ready to get back to football.  I went 9-4 last week - I hit my lock, but the stupid Jaguars collapsed late and made me lose my upset in overtime.  Anyway, here goes week 8:

Bucs at Vikings:  VIKINGS.  I like them to win a close game on Thursday night.  The Vikings are overrated, but they're good enough to beat the Bucs.

Panthers at Bears:  BEARS.  Panthers, I had faith in you last week, and you blew it against the Cowboys.  Now feel the wrath of your former DE, Julius Peppers, as he sacks Newton 3 times and returns a fumble and an interception for a touchdown.

Chargers at Browns:  CHARGERS.  Joe Haden should give Rivers some trouble, but I think the Chargers will have just enough to pull out a close one in Cleveland.

Seahawks at Lions:  LIONS.  I think the Lions bounce back from a frustrating loss on MNF to the Bears and give Russell Wilson a miserable day.  Lions win by at least 10.

LOCK:  Jaguars at Packers:  PACKERS.  I hate to lock against my own team, but there has not been a more lopsided matchup in the NFL this season.  This will be ugly.

Dolphins at Jets:  JETS.  They are resurgent, and will take down the Dolphins easily.

Falcons at Eagles:  EAGLES.  Every four weeks or so, you see a game where it seems that Vegas picked the wrong team as the favorite.  Ever notice that Vegas' favorite ALWAYS wins in these games?  (See Eagles-Ravens earlier this years, for instance).  The Eagles will end the Falcons' hopes for an undefeated season.

UPSET:  Redskins at Steelers:  REDSKINS.  In a signature win, RG3 will come into Heinz Field and run all over the Steelers.  This was a fun game to watch, and very high scoring.

Patriots at Rams:  PATRIOTS.  Oh, bloody hell!  This game is in London, my dear chaps.  I think the ole Patriots will give King George III another blight by winning in England - and then they will add insult to injury by stealing the royal tea and crumpets.

Colts at Titans:  TITANS.  This game will be a shootout, hopefully with Chris Johnson scoring a lot of fantasy points for me.  I'll take the Titans as they have more momentum.

WASH:  Raiders at Chiefs:  RAIDERS.  I have no clue who to take as they both suck, so I'll go with the Raiders, who are fresh off a win.

Giants at Cowboys:  GIANTS.  They will get revenge on the Cowboys for their opening-night loss.  This will be a hard-fought game, but I think the Giants take it by at least a TD.

Saints at Broncos:  BRONCOS.  Wow, this will be a fun game to watch.  The people at Mile High Stadium may wish that they created an extra column on their scoreboard, as this may break 100 points, haha.

49ers at Cardinals:  49ERS.  This will be a low-scoring match, but the 9ers should take it in a snoozer of a MNF game.

Last week: 9-4
Season record:  57-47
Points: 5

Vick will beat his old team when they face off in week 8.
