Dustin's Week 3 Picks

Wow, the NFL season has been great so far!  So many close games (ahem, Panthers . . . )!  So, now for the Week 3 addition of my picks!

Chiefs at Eagles:  Eagles.  Well, picked this one wrong.  The Chiefs defense proved to be good enough for the Eagles offense.

Giants at Panthers:  Giants.  Ok, I don't know which team will want to lose this one more.  Probably Carolina, especially after that HORRENDOUS loss to the Bills . . . I'm not gonna get over that one for a while . . .

Packers at Bengals:  Packers.  The Packers' offense is dangerous right now, and while the Bengals D is good, Aaron Rodgers will get the job done.
UPSET Rams at Cowboys:  Rams.  I'm surprised the Cowboys are the favorite in this game.  The Rams almost came back against the Falcons last week, who are a much better team than the Cowboys.

Bucs at Patriots:  Patriots.  The Patriots really need to get their act together.  The Bucs have a shot, especially after putting up a fight against the Saints.

Texans at Ravens:  Texans.  This one is gonna be close.  I haven't decided yet if the Texans' close win last week was due to them playing poorly or the Titans playing well.  Ravens struggled against the Browns last week, though, so I'm thinking the Texans should pull this one out.

Lions at Redskins:  Lions.  I've really liked what I've seen from the Lions thus far.  Granted, Reggie Bush is a gametime decision, and having him in the mix is a crucial part of the Lions' offense.  The Redskins are definitely shaky, so I think the Lions should be able to get this one.

Cardinals at Saints:  Saints.  The Saints looked awesome in Week 1, but stumbled a little last week.  I look for them to rebound against the Cardinals, even though the Cardinals are looking much better than last year.

WASH Chargers at Titans:  Chargers.  Wow, I really don't know who to pick here.  The Titans have far exceeded my expectations so far, but so have the Chargers.  Yet, I don't really know what to think.  Are these teams for real?  Both competed with (and should've beaten) the Texans, so who knows?

Browns at Vikings:  Vikings.  Ok, the Browns are a complete mess right now.  Without Trent Richardson (I'd be surprised if Willis McGahee had a good game after not playing/practicing for so long) and with their third string QB starting, the Vikings should have no problem.

Falcons at Dolphins:  Falcons.  I know there's a lot of talk about the Dolphins going 3-0, but seriously, let's look at it . . . the Dolphins' 2 wins have come against teams with a combined record of 1-3, and the one win was a close game to the Raiders (not that I'm saying the Colts are bad . . . but they look out of sync.  Hopefully Trent Richardson will help).  I think this week is a reality check for the Dolphins.  People are saying the Falcons' offense might be shaky without Stephen Jackson, but let's face it, the Falcons are all about passing.  Stephen Jackson was just a nice complement.

Colts at 49ers: 49ers.  I'm surprised the Colts lost to Miami last week.  But now as I look at it, the Colts just barely beat the Raiders and lost to the Dolphins . . . I think the 49ers will rebound from a disappointing outing against the Seahawks.

Bills at Jets:  Bills.  The hype around this game is the matchup between Geno Smith and EJ Manuel.  Personally, I think EJ Manuel has played much better than Geno Smith, and EJ Manuel is coming off an emotional win against the Panthers (UUUUUUUUUUUUUGH!) and I think he will carry that momentum with him into this game.  Also, the Bills rushing offense is much better than the Jets

LOCK Jaguars at Seahawks:  Seahawks.  Jaguars suck.  Get Tebow.  Then maybe you might score a touchdown . . . maybe.

Steelers at Bears:  Bears.  Wow, the Steelers are a mess . . . And it's the first half of the season so the Bears are allowed to win.

Raiders at Broncos:  Broncos.  Raiders are performing better than I expected, but seriously, there's NO WAY they will beat the Broncos (even though the Broncos only seem to dominate the second half . . . )
