I
am 112-64-1 for the season. Barring a massive decline in my record, I'm
looking at around a 60-70% rate of picking correctly. I'm feeling
pretty good about that. Here are my Week 13 picks:
Saints @ Falcons: SAINTS – This is my upset pick, and an easy one at that. I think the Saints matched up poorly against the 49ers, but I am sure they will step up again to give the Falcons another loss. I think it’d be great if the Falcons did, in fact, go 1-and-out, with all 3 losses of their season being to the Saints.
Seahawks @ Bears: BEARS – I’m not sure why the Bears are only favored by 3.5. This seems to be a blowout waiting to happen. But, maybe Vegas knows something I don’t. They have gotten some questionable calls right this year.
Vikings @ Packers: PACKERS – This should be a fun matchup, but the result is pretty set in stone.
49ers @ Rams: 49ERS – Ok, I picked against them 2 weeks in a row, and I was wrong. I won’t make that mistake this week.
Cardinals @ Jets: CARDINALS – Look, I’m washing this pick out. As such, I refuse to pick the Jets. Every time I do that, they get blown out. I mean, it’s not like the Cards are great, but I just have more faith in them than the Jets.
Panthers @ Chiefs: PANTHERS – Dadgumit… I want to wash this one out, but I can’t. One team doesn’t know how to win, the other is so ridiculously inconsistent, I just… I dunno.
Colts @ Lions: LIONS – I don’t think the Lions would be able to beat the Colts normally, but at home with a long week break? I’ll give it to the dirty cats.
Jaguars @ Bills: BILLS – I gotta give it to the Bills. They look like a solid team that could be in the playoffs next year if they continue to progress.
Patriots @ Dolphins: PATRIOTS – The Dolphins may be a future power, but it’s not the future yet. The Pats are a scoring machine right now. All Pats, all day.
Texans @ Titans: TEXANS – I have to admit: 2 weeks ago, this would have been tempting to lock this in. Now? I don’t know WHAT to think about the Texans. I still think they’ll win, but it just isn’t lock-worthy.
Buccaneers @ Broncos: BRONCOS – THIS is my lock. Peyton looks like he never missed a game. He is just so good. In Denver, they’re basically unstoppable.
Steelers @ Ravens: RAVENS – I would lock this, but the Ravens’ offense has been iffy. With Big Ben possibly coming back, the Steelers could upset. However, I ultimately think the Ravens are a better team and will lock up their division with this game.
Browns @ Raiders: BROWNS – This is a pick ‘em, so I’ll pick the team that has looked more promising. Dang it, I really like saying “RAIDERS” like Berman does… Freaking jerks not letting me have my fun.
Bengals @ Chargers: BENGALS – I think the Bengals have found their groove. The Chargers have found their bottomless pit.
Eagles @ Cowboys: COWBOYS – I am flattered that Vegas has given us the largest line of the week. I don’t think it’ll be that big, but I do think they’ll win handily.
Giants @ Redskins: REDSKINS – I believe in RG3. There. I said it. I can’t believe it, but there it is.
Saints @ Falcons: SAINTS – This is my upset pick, and an easy one at that. I think the Saints matched up poorly against the 49ers, but I am sure they will step up again to give the Falcons another loss. I'm glad to see you picking your 9ers again....
ReplyDeleteI didn't want to. I'm mad about Alex Smith. But this matchup isn't as much in question as it was in previous weeks.
